This easy recipe for Spiked Hot Cider is perfect for fall! Made with cinnamon sticks, star anise, clove, allspice, fresh oranges and a spiced rum to warm you right up!
This recipe is easy and serves a lot of people - it’s the perfect drink for a fall game night. We love games like Wavelength (a game that tests how similar you and your friends think), Linkee (your given four clues that all connect to one person, place, or thing. The first to guess wins!), and Fish Bowl (a fun take on typical charades)! Tag us in your Fall Game Night pictures on Instagram, so we can see your favorite game night game! #MinetteBucketList
Go Apple Picking and Take Family Photos
It’s time to start thinking about Christmas Card photos, and how perfect to turn a fun family activity into the perfect family photo-op! We have so many cute fall pieces that will look great for family photos.
Some of our favorites are our Pink City Prints Elixa Dress in Autumn Bouquet. This dress is the perfect autumn color palette, and we love it paired with this fall’s biggest trend: clogs!! The Dolce Vita Camden Heels in Praline are a cute, yet comfortable, shoe and are sure to pair well with any of your fall outfits. If you don’t want to go with a dress for apple picking, pair any of our new denim with Eyelet Trimmed High Neck Blouse In Ink. This look is an effortless option and can be reworn for brunch with friends, running errands, or even an Auburn football game. For apple picking, we love the durable Dolce Vita Caster H2O Booties in Ivory Leather. So cute!
Make Banana Bread For The Perfect Fall Snack
There is nothing like coming home from a long day and seeing a loaf of beautiful, fragrant banana bread on the counter. Think about slipping under the plastic wrap and sneaking a slice. We all buy too many bananas, so put those over ripe bananas to use in the best banana bread recipe ever. Moist and delicious, it's easy to make—one bowl, no need for a mixer!
It’s such an easy recipe that your kids can make it with you! We recommend serving with a little butter and cinnamon for a delicious bite of fall.
Carve A Pumpkin and Make Memories As A Family
Take your front porch decor up a notch with a carved pumpkin. This was such a fun experience for us as kids, and we want to create those fun memories with our own families. Pumpkin carving is not for the faint of heart, though, so we have a few tips and tricks up our sleeve to make this seasons pumpkin carving just a little easier.
First, clean out the seeds by opening the pumpkin from the bottom rather than around the stem. When you pull it outt, a lot of the seeds and stringy stuff comes out with it. Half your job of cleaning out the pumpkin is already done!
As tedious as it may be, the extra scraping inside the pumpkin saves so much time and effort when carving the face of your Jack-O-Lantern! Scrap the walls of the pumpkin with a big metal spoon until the walls are an inch thick, trust us.
Always trace your Jack-O-Lantern design before carving. It speeds up the carving process and there is less time spent debating on nose placement.
Lastly, don’t forget to let your kids in on the fun! We know the actual carving can be dangerous for young kids, but let them be in charge of the easier taskslike scooping out the pumpkin guts and separating the seeds from the stringy stuff. Don’t forget to make some Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, too!
