Birmingham is such a cool city, and we highly recommend taking a trip to come visit us! We know heading to a new city can be a little daunting, so we have put together a little travel guide to help you have the best experience possible!
What to wear:
It can get really hot down here in Alabama, so when you’re packing for your trip, be sure to pack something light and breezy like this top and skirt set! The Flutter Sleeves on this top are so fun! Not to mention the cute pink snake print!
Another light option is this adorable pink and orange maxi! This one is perfect with sneakers for walking and shopping during the day, then throw on a cute pair of heels and gold jewelry for dinner at night!
We are loving this blue dress for its versatility! You can wear this dress for *literally* anything! For all of your touring plans, we think this dress is the perfect option!
For hiking, pick up one of our short sleeve athleisure tops! We offer two colors in this great workout top - pink and white! If you’re not a hiker, throw these on with a pair of white or denim shorts for brunch!
Don't forget to make an appointment with us and let us curate a lookbook for you!
What to do:
Visit Railroad Park! “Railroad Park is a 19 acre green space in downtown Birmingham that celebrates the industrial and artistic heritage of our great city. Situated along 1st Avenue South, between 14th and 18th Streets, the park is a joint effort between the City of Birmingham and the Railroad Park Foundation. Hailed as "Birmingham's Living Room," Railroad Park provides a historically rich venue for local recreation, family activities, concerts, and cultural events, while connecting Birmingham's downtown area with Southside and UAB's campus.” Stop by Trader Joe’s and grab a few of your favorite charcuterie items, pick up a bottle of wine, and have a picnic in the park!
Definitely take a brewery tour, one of our favorite breweries is Back Forty! All of the beers are delicious, and the food is even better! We love afternoons at the Brewery! Schedule a tour and see how they brew their delicious beers!
If you’re here in the summer, you *have* to go to a Barons game! Even if you’re not a baseball fan, these games are just too fun to miss!
What to eat:
Of course you have to eat while you’re here! We have a couple of recommendations for you!
Stop by El Barrio and get a margarita and some tacos for a nice casual, yet delicious meal!
Bottega is an Italian restaurant with a southern American twist. The restaurant has a wood burning pizza oven, and “the best aperitifs, wines, beers, cocktails, savory bites and sublime desserts are offered in a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.” We love this place, and could not recommend it enough!
Alabama is known for their white barbeque sauce, so you have to hit Saws and have good, Alabama barbecue!
Gianmarco’s has been a family owned restaurant for generations. Giovanni, Giani & Marco Respinto have a passion to serve the best Italian food to the city of Birmingham. If you love Italian food, Gianmarco’s is the spot for you. Authentically Italian, Gianmarco’s offers “hand-crafted daily specials ranging from grass-fed prime cut ribeyes, to fresh grouper with andouille gumbo, to braised veal ossobuco”
